LOUSY REASONS TO GET MARRIED,

1. To give a baby a name.
2. To get away from home.
3. Because all your friends are getting married.
4. To live happily ever after.
5. Because someone asked you.
6. Because you've been going together since age 15.
7. To be taken care of.
S. To legitimize a sexual relationship (consumated or potential).
9. Because everyone thinks you make a fine couple.
10. To belong to someone.
11. Because you "owe it" to your potential partner.
12. To prove that your marriage will be just as good as or better than your parent's marriage.
13. Because there nothing better to do.
14. Because you are fascinated by a certain profession.
15. Because I should be married at my age.
16. Because we never fight or disagree.
17. Because my parents like him/her and it will please them.
18. Because I want children.
19. Because I will be able to change him/her into what I really want.
20. Because I want to give him/her what they have missed all their life.
21. Because he/she has the right physical features ‑ tall, strong, short, etc.
22. Because they are the only
person with whom I can feel comfortable or from whom I feel acceptance.
23. Because he/she is the way I would like to be.
24. Because I don't deserve any better...
25. Because marrying him/her will make up for what I have missed, or make up for my past mistakes.
26. Because I want someone to take care of.
27. Because I think I can change this person to be the kind of person I really want to whom I would want to be married.
28. Because he/she is so handsome/beautiful.
29. Because we have really great sex.

30. Because he/she is a substitute for someone I would like to marry.
31. Because we have already made the plans and people will be disappointed if we
don't.
32. Because he/she is exactly the opposite of the person I broke up with before.
33. Because we have been going out for such a long time now and I don't want to get back into the dating scene.
